Marrickville street art. A photo essay

I’ve written about Marrickville before, usually about the amazing breweries and food that make 2204 such a special little pocket of the Inner West. But the neighbourhood is also lined with street art, tucked into alleys and stretched across warehouse walls.

Colourful, political, personal, heartbreaking, historic, ephemeral. These pieces sweep across the whole human spectrum, much like Marrickville itself.

Here’s my brief visual diary of some of the creations you’ll cross while wandering the streets of Marrickville.
